These are camp booklet covers done for a family camp in 2011. The organizers initially envisioned a single cover, the only information required on the cover was the name of the camp.
Looking at previous 5 years of work for this camp, the cover each year never catered to the inter-generational mix specifically. With such a wide spectrum, I was stuck on this for longer than usual.
The problem here was that the preferences were to varied. A risk had to be taken when I proposed different covers for the same internal booklet. The idea was to foster ownership of the material & hence better reception to the internal material. Each psychographic was distilled into a graphic pattern.
Save to say a 70 year old lady looked fetching while she clutched this & her bible around the hotel.
